What a great day for shopping!! Well almost. I actually despise shopping on the last day of sales because I know very well that those stores are not stocked. Unfortunately not much you can do when you are extremely sick then leave town.
So here we go:
First stop:
Albertsons
They had some great deals and were probably about 75% stocked. I was a little frustrated with some items that they didn't have but then was shocked when I saw they were doing quadruple coupons! I completely forgot!
So here we go, transaction #1 $70.73 dollars worth of items for only $13.40
1 "bushel" of bananas
1 Progresso Soup
4 GG Steamer Packages
2 Pillsbury Cinnabon packages
4 GOGurt boxes
3 Laughing Cow containers
3 BC Frostings
4 boxes of Tostinos
2 Bags of Malto Meal Cereals
1 Papertowel (We hardly use papertowels but I couldn't pass up some Halloween papertowels!)
Transaction #2: $50.02 worth of items for only $8.25
4 Frostings
2 Cake Mixes
2 Cinnamon Toast Cruch Cereals
8 Bread Crumb containers.
----------------
Next is Walgreens:
I did the deal for buy 8/get $8.00 with Skippy and Ragu for $26.32 worth of stuff:
5 Skippys at $1.67 = $8.35 - $2.00 in coupons = $6.35
3 Ragus at $1.57 = $5.00 - .90 cents with 3 coupons = $4.10
$10.45 total - $8.00 Register Rewards for buying 8 = $2.45 TOTAL!! .31 cents each!!!
I also picked up some storage baskets that were 50% off with my register rewards that were expiring today.
----------------
CVS, I picked up the freebies pictured on page one for Halloween (see my CVS post) so $4.97 worth of stuff for FREE
2 Pens substituted for the carving kit and 1 Halloween Trickor Treat bag
----------------
Last and I'll say least based on my customer service experience: Walmart Total: $22.39 worth of stuff for $8.26
I absolutly dislike shopping with coupons at Walmart as they never seem coupon friendly.
Here is what I got, below is the story:
4 Cans of Chicken Noodle
4 Cans of Tomato Soup
2 Neosporin Lip Treatments
2 Trial size Aquafresh toothpastes
1 Onion
6 Apples
2 Big jars of Apple Sauce (no sugar for baking)
2 Candles from the Fragrance Collection
I had 2 coupons for the Fragrance Candles for $3.50 off and the candles were $3.00. The cashier would not scan them, so I told her to please bring someone over. She didnt, instead she made me believe she had scanned them. At the end of the transaction I noticed on my receipt she did not scan them but kept them. I had to repeatedly ask very nicely for them back so I can go to Customer Service.
I took them to customer service where it took me explaining multiple times about the coupon. I politely asked if they could adjust the amount, they first said the coupon excluded these candles. Well I got the 4 ounce ones and it said excludes 2 ounce. I explained that repeatedly though she kept repeating it wouldnt work. Finally the customer service manager said yes just give her $6.00 then the second lady said "yes thats what I said". Ahh just give me my $6.00 and let me out of here, lol.
Now back to the original cashier. She scrutinized everything and told me a reason she couldnt take every single coupon I handed her. I did end up getting (finally)
the two toothpastes for free thanks to a coupon I printed about a month ago, 2 Neosporin lip treatments for only $.32 cents a piece after a coupon printable from earlier this month, 1 onion for .9 cents, 6 apples for .10 cents each, 8 cans of soup for $3.20 after 2 .40 cent coupons. The applesauce was only $1.46 a piece.
Great savings Sara!
ReplyDeleteCan't you just shop for me too?! :)
GUCCImommma
I refuse to purchase items at Walmart any more for the way they treat customers. They waste so much of our time for wanting to use a coupon. Treat us like we are stealing from the store (in fact the store makes more money , the more coupons that they accept) Read the fine print on a coupon it states that the store recives the money for the coupon plus normaly 7 cents for a handling fee for the coupon. Some stores like Target understand this and accept every coupon that is given to them no questions asked and the store does better for their customers and the community! America STOP SHOPPING AT WALMART THEY ARE STEALING MONEY FROM YOU AND THE COMMUNITY! TARGET GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY CHECK OUT THE SCHOOL PROGRAM AND OTHER CHARITY PROGRAMS AS WELL AS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS.
