Have you been thrift store shopping and found something you thought could be useful, but it really wasn't your style? Today I talk about turning someone else's trash into a unique personalized treasure!
This week's thrifty Thursday is a crafty one! I found a metal box at a thrift store this weekend for only a dollar and I turned it into a flashy storage box.
Supplies:
Metal Box
Acrylic Paints
Sponge (cut)
Small Paint Brush
Q-Tips
Fabric

After I cleaned the box, I used the bottom as a guideline of how much fabric to use. I used a soft fleece and glued it into the bottom with E600 craft glue.
For the inside, I glued a pic of my kids! The box took about an hour to make and was very easy. I will store some of my crafty items in this box.
Love it! I did something similar with a really old stacked paper file (I can't think of the right word for those right now). I love it!
ReplyDeleteHaha. This is making me jones for a visit to Hobby Lobby.
Leslie, I went to Michaels this week and thought "I can so go broke right now in this store" lol.
