Pedialyte Singles: Information and a $1.50/1 Coupon!

Do you have items that you like to have in your medicine cabinet for cold/flu season? I like to have a few items on hand so I don't have to run to the store at an inconvenient time. One of the items is Pedialyte, which is used to replenish fluids due to dehydration from vomiting and diarrhea. With a 10 year old, 6 year old and a 15 month old in the house it is important to have Pedialyte just in case sickness abruptly shows up! I recently learned about Pedialyte Singles, a 4 pack of 1 time use Pedialyte Beverages.

What I like about these Pedialyte Singles are:
  • Easy to use ~ I can grab one out of the medicine cabinet and give one to the kids.
  • Toddler friendly ~ The familiar look of a "juice box" allows kids to easily drink the Pedialyte.
  • Separate uses ~ Since there are 4 single servings, this allows moms to use 1 each time therefore saving waste.
  • Longer shelf life ~ Pedialyte Singles have the shelf life of up to 18 months.

Why Pedialyte?

When your child has diarrhea with or without vomiting, large amounts of fluid and electrolytes are lost from their body. This can lead to a more serious condition called dehydration and make your sick child feel even worse. If your child has both diarrhea and continued vomiting, dehydration can become dangerous even more quickly.

Ordinary drinks don’t have enough electrolytes to replace what’s lost during diarrhea. Pedialyte provides the right balance of electrolytes, carbohydrates and water that children need when they have dehydration due to diarrhea and vomiting - and contains less sugar than sports drinks, sweetened sodas or even juices.

Other drinks with too much sugar may actually make diarrhea worse. When sugar levels are too high, your body tries to dilute the sugar by drawing water from the blood stream into the intestines, which then causes diarrhea.

Here are a few things you should note:
Pedialyte is for use to replenish fluids due to dehydration from vomiting and diarrhea
.
Use by expiration date, do not dilute with water.
Use Pedialyte only under the instruction of a doctor.
Store out of reach of kids.
