I love cupcakes. Even better is when I get to make them with no mess for a great cause! got2b has paired up with Cupcakes for a cause! For every virtual cupcake sent to a friend, they will donate $1.00 to CancerCare for kids! Through the end of September!
Looking for another simple way to do good with göt2b and Cupcakes for a Cause? Join me in being a "Good-Girl" and Declutter to Donate
Did you know your donation of used goods can make a difference for people in your community, and help make a healthier planet as well. The Donate Movement, powered by Goodwill®, challenges all of us to donate conscientiously and responsibly. Check out the Donate Impact Calculator here: http://donate.goodwill.org/
I'm working on passing my blessings along by becoming a "Good-Girl" and going through the house to de-clutter all of the items we don't need. I will be donating these goods to Goodwill and I have set a goal of 4 bags of items that we no longer need or use from our family.
I am encouraging my readers to have their own campaign and donate to their local Goodwill. I am especially encouraging my Phoenix Readers to do the same because on July 31st there was a fire at Goodwill of Central Arizona's Main Campus, burning down the Clearance Center and Salvage Operations, co-located at 16th Street and Van Buren.
The buildings that burned down were main transportation hubs and housed donations from the community. More than 1,000 storage containers of donations were destroyed in the fire. Goodwill has made every effort to ensure retail and workforce operations remain uninterrupted so we can continue to serve our clients, customers and community.
However, they need your help.
Your donations of material goods will ensure that our stores will remain stocked so customers can continue shopping. More importantly, your contributions will make sure that Goodwill can continue to provide job training programs and employment services that will help our neighbors and central Arizona's economy rebound.
The magazine Family Circle is encouraging their readers to donate for a Back to School Drive:
http://donate.goodwill.org/familycircle/
Last year, Family Circle readers helped Goodwill collect 11 million pounds of clothing during the Back-to-School season. And this year, we’re at it again with the Donate Movement. Clean out your closet as a family, and teach your kids about gratitude and donating responsibly.
How to Get Involved
- From August 1 to September 30, bring your donations to one of more than 3,500 Goodwill donation centers and stores nationwide.
- Set up your own Family Circle and Goodwill Back-to-School Clothing Drive — at your school, at your office or anywhere friends and neighbors gather.
