Whole Foods Organic Cherries $2.99 lb 7/8 only

Organic Cherries One Day Sale on Friday, July 8th for 2.99 per pound

Today only get 1 lb organic cherries at Whole Foods for only $2.99!
Good 7/8!
From Whole Foods:

How do you pick the best cherries? Here are some tips that we like to follow:

  • Check the stems—fresh cherries have green stems
  • Give them a feel—cherries should be firm, no soft spots or bruising
  • Look for the good color—ideally deep, bright red to mahogany
  • Give them the once over—fruit should be free of insect damage and pitting (little indentations caused by dehydration)
  • Give them a taste—be sure the amount of sugar in the fruit is high (also called the Brix Test)

Whole Foods MNO Recap

Recently Amy at Dealusional.com and I hosted a Moms Night Out at Whole Foods Scottsdale. It was an opportunity for local moms here in the valley to come to an event to mingle with other moms, enjoy some food and learn about what to serve during the holidays.

That night we talked about how to save money during the holidays when it comes to cooking from scratch. We also discussed the benefits of shopping at Whole Foods this holiday season that includes fresh turkeys and a special holiday staff on hand to help with any questions.

We learned about food allergies and some great items to serve during the holidays from Amy. We also had Sharon Brack, a certified holistic health counselor who spoke about eating healthy during the holidays. She reminded us it's okay to enjoy a treat but not to overdo our eating during our holiday meals.

Along with our lectures, we also enjoyed a cooking show from Jan D'iatri who showed us how to make a very simple English Trifle. It was great watching her cooking in action and we even got to taste her great creation!

Here are some photos for our event, thanks to the moms who came out!

Moms mingle and enjoy some great food from Whole Foods.

And some great wine!

Amy talks about food allergies and what foods are available to serve around the holidays that are allergen free!

Jan Diatri (our local celeb chef) shows us how to make a wonderful English Trifle during the holidays!

Swag swag and more swag!

Yummy Swag!

Our sponsors that evening for Swag Bags were:

Qbel Chocolates: Q.bel chocolates have no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. They also do not have any Corn Syrup or hydrogenated oils! These are great to keep around the house for when guests come over during the holidays. Also, they come in many different flavors such as dark chocolate and mint chocolate.

Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake
Earth Cafe Cheesecakes
Cheesecakes that are living (raw), vegan, wheat/gluten free, cholesterol free, and taste great! There are so many great flavors to choose from and there are even some great holiday flavors. Even if you do not have a Whole Foods in your area, you can buy online!

Sugar Cookie
Dr. Lucy’s gluten-free cookies. These cookies are great and are made without milk, eggs, peanuts or tree nuts making it a great allergy free treat!

Thank you to our gracious host Whole Foods for helping make this happen! Check out WholeFoods.com for specials, coupons and recipes to make your Holiday Season as healthy (and frugal) as possible!

Whole Foods 1 Day Sale: Honey Crisp Apples $1.40 lb!

Whole Foods MarketRecipe, Product or Beauty Image

Have you ever had a Honey Crisp Apple? The sweetness and juicyness of these apples makes them stand out beyond any other apples. These apples are perfect to enjoy alone or in a great recipe. I've made apple butter, apple sauce and apple pie from these apples and the taste is awesome. Even my family noticed that these apples tasted so much better than other apples.

Whole Foods Market is celebrating fall with a special one day sale on organic Honeycrisp apples. On Friday October 29th, organic Honeycrisp apples will be just $1.40 a pound (regular price $2.99 lb). At 50% off, this is a great way to celebrate fall.
I recently tried these apples from Whole Foods and they are simply delicious. This deal gets better if you are in Phoenix, the apples will be on sale for $.99 lb at the PV store (Tatum and Shea).

So what else can you do with these apples? Honeycrisps are also great for slow roasting, dumpling baking, cider brewing, caramel dipping and more.

I love stocking up and doing a "canning" day with apple butter. It takes a lot of apples to make apple butter and it can get pricey but at these prices, it is definitely worth it!

Need some creative recipes?
