Whole Foods MNO Recap

Recently Amy at Dealusional.com and I hosted a Moms Night Out at Whole Foods Scottsdale. It was an opportunity for local moms here in the valley to come to an event to mingle with other moms, enjoy some food and learn about what to serve during the holidays.

That night we talked about how to save money during the holidays when it comes to cooking from scratch. We also discussed the benefits of shopping at Whole Foods this holiday season that includes fresh turkeys and a special holiday staff on hand to help with any questions.

We learned about food allergies and some great items to serve during the holidays from Amy. We also had Sharon Brack, a certified holistic health counselor who spoke about eating healthy during the holidays. She reminded us it's okay to enjoy a treat but not to overdo our eating during our holiday meals.

Along with our lectures, we also enjoyed a cooking show from Jan D'iatri who showed us how to make a very simple English Trifle. It was great watching her cooking in action and we even got to taste her great creation!

Here are some photos for our event, thanks to the moms who came out!

Swag swag and more swag!

Yummy Swag!

Our sponsors that evening for Swag Bags were:

Qbel Chocolates: Q.bel chocolates have no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. They also do not have any Corn Syrup or hydrogenated oils! These are great to keep around the house for when guests come over during the holidays. Also, they come in many different flavors such as dark chocolate and mint chocolate.

Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake
Earth Cafe Cheesecakes
Cheesecakes that are living (raw), vegan, wheat/gluten free, cholesterol free, and taste great! There are so many great flavors to choose from and there are even some great holiday flavors. Even if you do not have a Whole Foods in your area, you can buy online!

Sugar Cookie
Dr. Lucy’s gluten-free cookies. These cookies are great and are made without milk, eggs, peanuts or tree nuts making it a great allergy free treat!

Thank you to our gracious host Whole Foods for helping make this happen! Check out WholeFoods.com for specials, coupons and recipes to make your Holiday Season as healthy (and frugal) as possible!
